Rep. Bass Announced As Chair of House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Global Human Rights

“I am honored to Chair the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Global Human Rights and I am committed to resetting the U.S. alliance with the continent of Africa. In addition to helping tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, I look forward to expanding trade and investment, tackling climate change, and supporting young people through cultural exchange and increased access to technology, thus instilling an image of partnership rather than one of reliance."

Rep. Bass has been the top Democrat on the Subcommittee since 2011.
