Press Release
LOS ANGELES – Yesterday, Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) hosted her annual End of Year Legislative Report Back for over 350 constituents at the DoubleTree Hotel in Culver City.

Throughout the year, Rep. Bass was able to engage and inform thousands of constituents through town halls and community meetings addressing some of the nation’s most critical issues including executive oversight, immigration, workforce development, health care, and foster care. The End of Year Report Back gave Rep. Bass an opportunity to recap this year’s legislative accomplishments and announce her plan for 2018.

“2017 was a long year, but we can’t overlook the progress that we’ve made and the gains that the resistance has made as well,” Rep. Bass said. “We’ve introduced 15 bills this Congress, secured $990 million to combat famine and hosted events for nearly 3,000 constituents. That level of engagement is unprecedented and fills me with optimism for what’s to come in 2018.”

After a presentation of highlights in 2017, Rep. Bass took questions on the Republican tax plan, gun regulations, net neutrality, and more.
