Rep. Bass Secures Millions For 37th District In House-Passed INVEST in America Act of 2021

July 1, 2021
Press Release
WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA) applauded House passage of the “Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation in America (INVEST in America) Act,” which includes nearly $27 million in funding for transportation and infrastructure in California’s 37th Congressional District.

Rep. Bass fought to ensure the projects were included in the INVEST in America Act, which makes transformational investments in America’s highways, roads, bridges, transit, rail, and water infrastructure to create jobs, modernize our infrastructure and reduce carbon pollution.

The inclusion of this funding is one step in the funding process. Rep. Bass will continue to fight for this funding as the bill moves to the Senate for consideration, and eventual negotiations to resolve differences in the House and Senate passed versions of this bill. This legislation puts some of the key pieces of President Biden’s infrastructure vision into legislative text.
