Today, Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.),Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, issued the following statement in response to an attack on a church service in the West African nation of Burkina Faso that killed at least 14 people and wounded several others.
"I offer my profound condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish the injured a speedy recovery. I join President Kabore in condemning this attack. Burkina Faso has experienced increased insecurity over the past two years with innocent civilians bearing the brunt of the violence.
