"There have been a series of deadly assaults across the Sahel. Since the beginning of this outbreak, extremists have attacked Chad’s military, killing soldiers near the border of Nigeria and Niger; Nigerian soldiers have been killed in northeastern Nigeria; and this week, numerous Malian soldiers were killed in an attack on their military base.
"I commend the pledges made thus far by leaders of the G-20 to help the most vulnerable countries, particularly on the African continent where some countries where already face ongoing complex humanitarian emergencies. The long-term impact on African countries will be devastating.
"I am disappointed that a constitutional referendum passed that could allow President Alpha Conde to run for a third presidential term. I also condemn the violence against the political opposition, protestors, and the citizens of Guinea by government forces. The people of Guinea have spoken by continuously protesting and boycotting.
"The Office of Management and Budget completed its review of the Title IX overhaul on Friday, March 27, clearing the path for Secretary DeVos to release the final rule.
"Nipsey Hussle was a visionary. You can see the love he had for the community in his investments. You can see the love he had for the community in his philanthropy. You can see the love he had for the community in initiatives like Destination Crenshaw, which broke ground last month.
"We still feel that love and we show it right back.

"This should be a wake up call. Failing to take drastic measures to combat the spread of this disease in prison will result in a magnified impact on all of society.
Chairman Jerrold Nadler: "I am pleased that we have voted in a bipartisan fashion to provide much needed relief to hospitals, healthcare workers, business owners, and hardworking Americans across the country as we all navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we must do even more to address this crisis.
